Job summary

TYLin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead the planning and design of transit facilities across the Chicago region and broader Midwest.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects including passenger stations, maintenance facilities, rail yards, and other critical transit-supporting assets for agencies such as CTA, Metra, Amtrak, and related regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect in Illinois or eligible via reciprocity.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Experience with transit/ public infrastructure projects is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and documentation for transit facilities.
• Coordinate across disciplines and manage subconsultants and teams.
• Interpret client standards and agency requirements for compliance.
• Participate in client meetings and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee design production from concept to construction documents.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for architectural deliverables.
