Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required with 12+ years of relevant experience, or 16+ years if no degree.
• Experience in the A&E industry with emphasis on client development and emerging markets.
• 25–50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute growth strategies to increase HNTB’s market share across offices/divisions.
• Partner with Line Leadership, Division Presidents, Office Leaders, and Client Service Leaders on business‑development activities.
• Implement the Sophisticated Planning Approach (SPA) and develop external relationship plans and client‑focus strategies.
• Develop strategic plans with national resources and line leaders to set growth goals for foundation and future foundation clients.
• Strengthen relationships at all levels of the client organization and with external influencers.
• Identify recruiting needs, draft board candidates, and use networks to bring industry talent aligned with our culture.
• Leverage the Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA) Stages 1‑3 to support client focus and division BD efforts.
• Serve as client‑service leader and/or pursuit champion as needed.
• Collaborate with government‑relations leaders and external consultants on legislative strategies and community initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Approximate pay ranges: New York – $180,596.86 – $360,607.36; Los Angeles – $207,686.38 – $331,758.78; Nationwide – $180,596.86 – $360,607.36.
