Responsibilities

• Provide transfusion medicine and blood banking services across Rutgers and RWJBarnabas Health affiliated institutions.
• Manage complex transfusion consultations, stem cell collection and infusion, adult and pediatric cellular therapy, and apheresis services.
• Join an apheresis program performing red cell exchange, plasma exchange, extracorporeal photopheresis, stem cell collection, and CAR-T collection.
• Collaborate with physician partners, nursing colleagues, and institutional leadership to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in teaching programs, departmental conferences, and grand rounds.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a program participating in university- and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials.
• Participate in departmental call coverage and promote the program at regional and national conferences.
