Tufts Medical Center, part of Tufts Medicine, seeks a full-time Director of Transfusion Medicine to lead Blood Bank, apheresis, and stem cell processing laboratories. The role includes medical leadership, teaching, and research opportunities within an academic environment.

The ideal candidate has an MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine, at least 5 years of transfusion medicine practice, and familiarity with regulatory standards (AABB/CAP, FDA, FACT).

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board certification in pathology or internal medicine with transfusion medicine certification/eligibility.
• At least 5 years of transfusion medicine practice.
• Familiarity with blood banking regulatory requirements (AABB/CAP, FDA, FACT).

Responsabilités

• Provide medical leadership and oversight of transfusion medicine services (Blood Bank, apheresis, stem cell processing).
• Lead a team to optimize blood product utilization and ensure appropriate transfusion practices.
• Provide coverage for in-patient/out-patient transfusion and apheresis services with medical consultation.
