Job summary

Giga Energy in Houston, TX, seeks a Materials Manager for Transformers to oversee materials planning and scheduling for our transformer production. You will coordinate BOM accuracy, demand translation into supplier releases, and oversee ECO impacts across contract manufacturers to keep production flowing smoothly.

The role requires experience with MRP/ERP systems, long-lead components, and tariff compliance, working closely with Procurement, Production, and Engineering to mitigate risk and

Qualifications

• 7+ years in materials management or supply chain, ideally in transformer, electrical equipment, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with BOM management, MRP/ERP, and master scheduling.
• Exposure to tariff classification and trade compliance (Section 301/232, USMCA).
• Ability to coordinate materials across multiple sites, including offshore contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Own BOM accuracy and structure for transformer products in the ERP/MRP system.
• Translate production schedule into materials requirements and supplier releases.
• Manage ECO impact on transformer inventory and open orders.
• Support NPI by ensuring long-lead components are ordered early for FAT dates.
• Build and maintain the master production schedule aligned with contract manufacturers.
