Job summary

The position requires hands-on work across assembly, winding, case, and high voltage integrated technology areas, with overtime availability and the possibility of multiple shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy.
• Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a manner compliant with safety and quality procedures and policies.
• Wind, assemble, and fabricate product ensuring high quality to meet customer requirements and delivery.
• Manually assemble materials used in transformer manufacturing.
• Operate winding machines, semi-automatic and manual.
• Fabricate material such as coil, insulation, wire, etc., used in transformer manufacturing.
• Use computer to check schedules and update job status.
• Maintain required paperwork and records.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to aid in material handling.
• Continuously monitor quality of work and resolve issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional communication.
• Cross-train in multiple skills and assist in training others.
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work any shift in 24/7 manufacturing environment.
