Job summary

States Manufacturing Corporation in Texas is seeking a Production Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for daily transformer manufacturing operations, collaborating with Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Planning, and Maintenance to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will resolve issues, standardize processes, develop manufacturing documentation, perform root-cause analysis, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the plant, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing/production or process engineering.
• Experience supporting daily production operations and resolving issues.
• Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation including SOPs and work instructions.
• Experience performing root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify trends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and routings.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production goals and schedule attainment.
• Resolve safety, quality, delivery, or cost issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
• Provide technical guidance for production personnel.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends and improve processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process flows.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and routings to ensure manufacturability.
• Coordinate with Engineering on changes and improvements.
• Lead 5S and establish standard work.
