Grafton Integrated Health Network in Virginia seeks a Special Education Teacher to empower learners and execute IEP-driven instruction in a full-time, on-site role. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a supportive team of educators, clinicians, and staff dedicated to student growth.

You will work with a collaborative team, lead classroom operations, and contribute to a culture of care and professional development, with resources provided to grow skills and impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or masters in special education or a related field.
• Requires valid Virginia teaching license or eligibility for conditional license.
• Prefer 1 year of experience teaching students with special educational needs; or any equivalent combination.
• Requires State Teaching Certificate in Special Education.
• Behavior management program(s) such as MANDT certification and UKERU certification.

Responsabilités

• Manages the daily operations of the classroom to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Develops goals and objectives and prepares lesson plans aligned with IEPs.
• Leads instructional assistants and oversees lesson plan implementation.
• Documents and reports student progress and maintains progress data.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and conferences.
• Attends conferences and workshops to stay current with professional trends.
