Job summary

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is seeking a Residential Youth Program Manager for our West Loop campus in Chicago. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supervising staff, and maintaining a therapeutic, safe environment for at-risk youth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of direct care experience at Mercy Home.
• Experience managing individuals and teams.
• Ability to work two nights per week until 9:00 p.m.; on-call Mon-Fri and rotating weekends.
• Interdisciplinary team approach experience.
• Residential treatment experience.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with ability to drive a van and maintain a clear driving record.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies and philosophies to cultivate a therapeutic safe space for at-risk youth.
• Oversee residential program atmosphere and provide staff supervision and performance management.
• Ensure education, employment and treatment goals for each youth.
• Supervise all program communications and log entries.
