Job summary

Kenilworth Science and Technology Academy in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Math Teacher (5-8) to deliver engaging, data-informed instruction for grades 5–8. The role involves planning lessons, using technology, and assessing student progress to ensure academic growth.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, state certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. In-person teaching duties with a focus on professional collaboration and student support are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required.
• State certification is required (If not certified, a high level of content‑area proficiency and eligibility to get certified)
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering lessons across reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
• Assessing student learning through tests and assignments and evaluating progress.
• Creating a positive and safe learning environment with clear expectations and rules.
• Communicating with parents and collaborating with other teachers and administrators.
