Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Houston is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) to provide home health services under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will implement treatment plans, assist with ADLs, and reinforce interventions to improve mobility and independence in the home setting.

This role requires an OTA license, CPR/BLS, and at least one year of clinical experience; home health or geriatric rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• OTA license valid in state of practice
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year clinical OTA experience; home health or geriatric rehab preferred
• Ability to work independently in home health settings
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Implement OT treatments and activities delegated by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs to promote independence.
• Support use of adaptive equipment and DME as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Monitor progress and report changes to supervisor.
• Collaborate with care team to achieve rehab goals.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety at home.
