Job summary

First Children Services seeks a dedicated High School Math Teacher in North Bergen, NJ, to join our private special education school serving students from PreK through high school. The role is full-time, 7:15-2:15pm, Fall 2026, with a compensation range of $61,000–$80,000 annually.

Requires a BA in Special Education or Early Childhood Education, appropriate NJ certification, and experience with children with disabilities. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• BA degree or higher in Special Education or Early Childhood Education.
• NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification AND Teacher of Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out the IEP and instructional program for individual students.
• Plan and manage the school’s therapeutic approach to discipline.
• Coordinate and schedule activities with other staff.
• Maintain and inventory classroom supplies and instructional materials.
• Keep records as required.
• Write reports and meet with parents and professionals.
