Job summary

Miami County Public Health is seeking a Home Visitor to support pregnant women, infants and toddlers. You will conduct regular home visits, teach parenting and child development skills, and coordinate with healthcare and community partners.

Responsibilities include documentation, family planning, and referrals, with a focus on evidence-based practices and program goals. A valid Ohio driver’s license and credentialing are required within the first year.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher required; bachelor’s preferred with 1 year experience.
• Must obtain Help Me Grow Home Visitor Credential within first year.
• Background checks required by Ohio agencies; valid Ohio driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide family support, information and education and follow program goals.
• Conduct regular home visits for prenatal to age 3 children.
• Teach parenting and child development skills; share information on discipline and household management.
• Use approved curriculum and evidence-based model when serving families.
• Complete documentation in client charts and systems; coordinate with other service providers.
• Participate in program activities and CQI/Strategic Planning committees.
