Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• NY State Teaching Certification preferred; certification pathway support offered.
• One year of teaching experience in urban setting preferred.
• Knowledge around students with disabilities, specifically high-functioning autism spectrum students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with co-teachers to improve classroom practices and support school goals.
• Set high expectations for behavior and academics aligned with school culture.
• Build a strong classroom community with students and families.
• Plan rigorous instruction for large and small groups; incorporate feedback.
• Assess student learning with appropriate tools and provide meaningful feedback.
• Differentiate instruction for all learners; develop IEPs and behavior plans with staff.
• Engage families through regular communication and collaboration.
