Job summary

3M seeks a Cost Productivity Specialist to drive enterprise transformation through financial governance, forecasting, planning and analytics at Maplewood, MN. You will partner with FP&A, Controllership, HR, External Reporting and the PMO to ensure accurate tracking of transformation costs and savings.

The role emphasizes leading governance activities, building financial models, and communicating results to senior leadership, with on-site work four days a week and travel up to 5% domestic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• Seven (7) years of Finance or Accounting experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Experience supporting financial planning and reporting cycles.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills across the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance activities related to transformation financials, including quarterly balance sheet reviews with Controllership and preparation of monthly CEO approval materials.
• Partner with external reporting to document and present restructuring results in published financials.
• Consolidate transformation inputs across monthly close, forecast, strategic plan, and operating plan cycles.
• Support accurate representation of transformation results in internal reporting and published financials; communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with PMO and cross-functional stakeholders to validate estimates and provide finance guidance on transformation assumptions.
• Lead cross-functional alignment on expected financial impacts and track execution of initiatives.
• Lead short- and long-term financial modeling for transformation initiatives including cost, savings, cash flow, balance sheet and stranded cost impacts.
• Own central stranded cost model and perform ad-hoc FP&A analyses as needed.
