Job summary

Abound Health is seeking an Alternative Family Living Direct Support Professional (contract) to provide caregiving and daily living support in North Carolina. You will assist with ADLs, foster independence, and help clients engage in community activities, while following person-centered plans with Abound Health.

This role emphasizes compassionate, reliable, relationship-based support in a home setting, with ongoing training and 24/7 emergency options available through the employer.

Qualifications

• Be North Carolina resident (Asheville, Hendersonville area strongly preferred).
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass required background checks (FBI, child abuse, criminal).
• Complete home inspections and meet safety standards.
• Provide personal and professional references.
• Participate in interviews and a matching assessment.
• Be willing to include the individual in meals, routines, activities, and family life.
