Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, 40-hours-per-week position. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will assist with patient assessments and implement individualized treatment plans across age groups.

The role includes documenting progress, administering therapeutic modalities, and maintaining records in accordance with Mercy standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current before caring for patients independently.
• One year experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment on each patient under OT supervision.
• Document the course of patient care including progress notes and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or procedures per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and department records.

Skills
