Job summary

The Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for full-time, 40 hours per week.

You will support an occupational therapy team under supervision, perform assessments, document patient progress, administer modalities, and contribute to education within the department. Eligible candidates have a state license and BLS certification, with prior experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification required, with current status before independent patient care.
• 1 year experience preferred, new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment under supervision and per department policy.
• Document patient care, progress notes, and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercises, or procedures as prescribed.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records for charges.
• Participate in department education and team activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of needs across age groups including neonatal to geriatric.
