Job Summary: Geisinger is proud to offer a full-time Transfer Team Technician a minimum hiring rate of $15.25, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts! Also offering up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse!

Job Description:
Serves as the Primary Source for Best Practice techniques in the mobilization of patients. Ensures patient's and caregivers' safety at all times. Responsible for planning, prioritizing, organizing and performing patient lifts or patient repositioning, utilizing appropriate lifting devices and equipment. Assumes responsibility for reporting equipment maintenance needs to Clinical Engineering and monitoring inventory of patient lifting and transfer equipment, along with maintaining proper hygiene of equipment on each unit. Assists nurse educators with staff education and training in the use of patient lifting equipment and appropriate lifting techniques and making specialty chairs available whenever able and needed. Maintains a database or other documentation of key functions and daily tasks.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Schedule: Day/Evening shift rotation (Days 8am-4:30pm and evenings 11am to 7:30pm) including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Opportunity to work independently and as a team transferring patients using specialized equipment.
No experience required. Comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
