Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Transfer Station to safely operate yellow iron equipment while loading and transferring materials efficiently.

You will open and close the facility, direct trucks to unloading areas, and help keep public areas clean and compliant with safety rules. The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, ability to work in all weather, and willingness to participate in ongoing training.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in the US.
• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years prior heavy equipment experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Opens and closes the facility according to schedule.
• Oversees truck dumping locations and switching out trailers.
• Maintains cleanliness of public areas per management schedules.
• Ensures customers use the transfer station safely and within rules.
• Meets loading schedules to keep driver loads ready for production.
• Directs incoming trucks to appropriate unloading areas safely.
• Performs safety checks and reports mechanical issues promptly.
• Participates in training and other opportunities to grow with the company.
• Pursues career advancement paths from Apprentice to Lead Operator.
