Job summary

Clay Today is seeking personnel for the Office of Resource Stewardship, TRANSFER STATION OPERATIONS, to handle solid waste disposal and recycling duties in Leon County. The role operates various heavy equipment and requires a CDL Class B license.

Shifts include early morning start times and rotate every few months. Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads, follow safety guidelines, and work with limited supervision in an outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class B license required.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment listed in the description.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing safe, efficient solid waste disposal and recycling services.
• Operate a variety of equipment including front-end loaders, dump trucks, graders and other listed gear.
• Work 15-hour shifts starting at 2:30 AM with two rotating shift options.
