Job summary

Eide Bailly LLP is offering a Spring 2027 Transfer Pricing internship in the United States. Reporting to a Senior Associate, you will assist a collaborative team on documentation, planning, economic analysis, and implementation support for multinational clients.

• Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or another relevant discipline.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools or financial databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support transfer pricing engagement lifecycle from data organization to economic analysis and documentation.
• Organize and analyze financial data in Excel, including intercompany revenue/expenses, cost pools, allocation keys, profitability, and transfer pricing calculations.
• Document functions performed, assets used, and risks assumed by related entities to support analyses.
• Assist with benchmarking analyses for intercompany services, product transactions, royalties, financing, and other controlled transactions.
• Prepare workpapers, calculations, charts, presentations, and sections of transfer pricing reports and planning analyses.
• Support operational transfer pricing including calculation models, true-ups, invoicing support, and alignment between intercompany agreements and policy.

This internship is part of Eide Bailly's Transfer Pricing practice and reports to a Senior Associate. You will work as part of a collaborative team supporting multinational clients on transfer pricing documentation, planning, economic analysis, and implementation. The role combines accounting and financial analysis, business research, technical writing, and hands-on project support.

What You'll Do

You will contribute across the transfer pricing engagement lifecycle, from understanding a client's business and organizing source data through economic analysis, documentation, and implementation support. Your work may include:

• Learning the client's business by reviewing financial statements, organizational charts, intercompany agreements, transaction data, prior-year reports, and other background materials.

• Organizing and analyzing financial and transactional data in Excel, including intercompany revenue and expenses, cost pools, allocation keys, profitability, and transfer pricing calculations.

• Supporting functional and value-chain analyses by documenting the functions performed, assets used, and risks assumed by related entities.

• Performing company, industry, and economic research and assisting with benchmarking analyses for intercompany services, product transactions, royalties, financing, and other controlled transactions.

• Preparing clear workpapers, calculations, charts, presentations, and draft sections of transfer pricing reports, master files, local files, policy documents, and planning analyses.

• Assisting with operational transfer pricing, including calculation models, true-ups, invoicing support, process documentation, and alignment between intercompany agreements and the intended policy.

• Supporting due diligence, audit-readiness, and controversy matters by organizing facts, checking calculations, and preparing supporting analyses and response materials.

• Participating in team planning and review discussions, communicating status and open items, incorporating feedback, and coordinating with tax, valuation, customs, and other specialists when needed.

How You'll Work and Grow

You will work directly with experienced transfer pricing professionals who will provide guidance, feedback, and coaching as you take ownership of defined workstreams. Assignments will start with foundational research, data organization, and analysis, then build toward client-ready workpapers, documentation, and drafting.

You will gain exposure to projects across industries, transaction types, and jurisdictions while contributing as part of a small, collaborative team. Along the way, you will strengthen practical skills in Excel-based analysis, financial review, economic research, technical writing, and project management.

You will also learn how transfer pricing analysis is translated into documentation, calculations, agreements, invoicing, and year-end adjustments. As you grow, you will build professional judgment by documenting assumptions, checking your work, asking questions early, and incorporating review comments thoughtfully.

Who You Are

• You are working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or another relevant discipline.

• You are comfortable working with data and have strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools or financial databases is a plus.

• You are curious about how multinational businesses operate and interested in applying financial, economic, accounting, and tax concepts to real client issues.

• You are detail-oriented and take ownership of assigned tasks, including documenting assumptions, checking your work, and raising issues early.

• You can manage multiple priorities, incorporate feedback, and work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

• You communicate clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and can explain your work in a concise and organized manner.

• You demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism when handling client information.

We are excited to share that intern positions across our firm are paid between $25.00-$32.00/hour and are eligible for overtime. If you are offered an intern position with Eide Bailly, your pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. Interns are eligible for health insurance and 401(k) Profit Sharing.
