Job summary

Grant Thornton's National Transfer Pricing group in Manhattan, NY is seeking a Tax Intern to support transfer pricing projects, assist with documentation, benchmarking, and defense of TP determinations.

You will work with experienced staff on financial analyses, industry research, valuations, and report preparation while maintaining client relationships and gathering information for tax services. Some travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related area.
• Tax accounting skills and some knowledge of GAAP
• Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical aptitude and project planning/time management
• Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering transfer pricing projects involving inter-company transfers, documentation, benchmarking, and defense of TP determinations
• Conduct financial and economic analyses, industry research, valuations, benchmarking, and report documentation
• Assist in valuation report preparation for closely held or public companies
• Maintain client relationships and collaborate with client management and staff at all levels
• Other duties as assigned
