Job summary

Aspen Skiing Company seeks a Transfer Driver to safely and efficiently move rental and retail equipment between resort locations, including bikes, skis, snowboards and accessories. You will load/unload with liftgates, maintain inventory accuracy, and navigate mountain roads in winter conditions, reporting to the Transfer Manager.

The position is a seasonal, full-time role during the 2026-2027 winter season, with benefits such as PTO, paid leave, and ski passes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid, current, and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience operating large box trucks or similar delivery vehicles required.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks and vans to pick up and deliver rental, retail, and non-inventory product between resort locations.
• Load and unload products using liftgates and rolling carts, navigating snow, ice and uneven terrain with loads up to 600lbs.
• Organize products by type and destination for accurate loading, transport, and delivery.
• Maximize space and safety during loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Use mobile scanning tech to ensure accurate inventory movement and documentation.
• Fulfill rental restocking requests by picking, packing, organizing, and racking equipment.
• Operate pallet jacks, liftgates, dock plates, and elevators safely.
• Maintain delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Monitor road conditions and drive safely in all weather and mountainous terrain.
• Communicate with the Transfer Manager and team for coordinating deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain clean, organized vehicle interiors and daily readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Transfer Driver plays a vital role in supporting an exceptional guest experience by safely and efficiently transporting rental and retail equipment—including bikes, skis, snowboards, and gear—between resort locations. This role ensures timely delivery, product integrity, and inventory accuracy through careful handling, mobile scanning, and clear communication. Drivers must confidently navigate mountain roads, varied terrain, and winter conditions while maintaining high operational standards. This position reports to the Transfer Manager.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks and vans to pick up and deliver rental, retail, and non-inventory product—including bikes, skis, snowboards, and accessories—between resort locations
• Load and unload products using liftgates and rolling carts, including navigating snow, ice, and uneven terrain with loads up to 600lbs
• Organize products by type and destination to ensureaccurateand efficient loading, transport, and delivery
• Maximize space and safety during loading and unloading of vehicles at designated pickup and drop-off locations
• Use mobile scanning technology and tracking software to ensureaccurateinventory movement and documentation
• Fulfill rental restocking requests by picking, packing, organizing, and racking incoming and returning equipment
• Operate company equipment such as pallet jacks, liftgates, dock plates, and elevators safely and correctly
• Maintain up-to-date delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Monitor road conditions and drive safely in all weather, including snow, ice, and mountainous terrain
• Communicate regularly with the Transfer Manager and team to ensure smooth coordination of deliveries and pickups
• Maintain clean, organized vehicle interiors and ensure daily vehicle readiness
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid, current, and unrestricted driver’s licenserequired
• Minimum of 6 months experienceoperatinglarge box trucks or similar delivery vehiclesrequired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient experience with loading, unloading, or transporting equipment in a warehouse orlogisticssetting
• Knowledge of safe vehicle operation, including box trucks, in mountain terrain and variable weather conditions
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, loading techniques, and equipment usage
• Familiarity with terminology and processes related to retail and rentallogistics
• Skill in managing time and prioritizing multiple delivery tasks under shifting demands
• Skill in following scanning and inventory tracking procedures with consistency and accuracy
• Ability toidentifyand resolve basic operational issues, especially in dynamic road or delivery conditions
• Ability to stay focused and work independently whilemaintainingefficiency and safety
• Ability to adapt to changing weather, road, or operational conditions in a high-paced environment
• Strong communicationand teamwork skills to ensure smooth coordination with other drivers and departments
• Commitment tomaintaininga clean, organized, and safe working environment

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, see, hear, sit, drive a shuttle/car for extended periods of time; squat, kneel and bend
• Regularly work/drive in adverse weather conditions. Frequently drive in bright sunlight and at night. Exposure to noises that cause distraction and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
