Darling Ingredients is seeking a Local Transfer Driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle to transfer raw product from suppliers to our processing facility.

Key duties include loading, weighing, safety inspections, maintaining logs, and completing route paperwork while following DOT regulations. Strong teamwork and dependability are essential for night and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with clean MVR.
  • Current Class A CDL holder, with tanker endorsement.

  • Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
  • Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
  • Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
  • Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms).
  • Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
  • Maintain DOT log on onboard computer.

  • Good math and communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
  • Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle and plant environment.
