Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Transfer Center Nurse in Freeman West on a PRN, part-time basis in Joplin, MO. The transfer center handles inter-hospital referrals and bed placement, coordinating timely, medically appropriate transitions.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN or LPN license in Missouri (or compact), and BLS. BSN and ACLS are preferred; ER/ICU background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in MO (or compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates safe, efficient patient transfers by triaging clinical data.
• Coordinates bed placement and acts as primary contact for external hospitals.
• Ensures transitions are medically appropriate and timely.
