Great River Health in West Burlington, IA seeks a Transfer Center Coordinator (RN) to coordinate patient transfers with referring facilities, physicians, bed management and other departments. You will ensure safe, timely placement based on clinical need and bed availability.
As a central liaison, you will arrange transportation, maintain detailed transfer records for quality assurance, monitor logistics, and train new staff on transfer protocols while complying with EMTALA and state/federal
Minimum Hiring Wage: From $39.37 per hour
Scheduled Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am, every other weekend
Facilitates the efficient transfer of patients between facilities. The Transfer Center Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating the safe, timely, and efficient transfer of patients into, out, and within the healthcare system. This role serves as a central point of communication between referring facilities, physicians, nursing leadership, bed management, and ancillary departments to ensure appropriate placement of patients based on clinical needs, bed availability, and organizational capabilities. This role ensures compliance with regulations and maintains detailed records for quality assurance.
