Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Validate outside institution's accreditation status.
  • Evaluate coursework from external institutions.
  • Respond to emails from internal/external customers.
  • Cross-train on responsibilities and cover other duties.
  • Work with faculty, admissions, advising staff, and partners on transfer credit.
  • Evaluate Prior Learning Credit (PLC).
  • Update institutional databases regularly.
  • Document scanning (including E-transcripts).
  • Resolving Service Desk tickets.
  • Evaluating international transcripts.

Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio invites applicants for its Transfer and Articulation Evaluator.


Position Summary


The Transfer and Articulation Evaluator will review student documents, most notably transcripts and certifications, and grant Franklin credit based on the courses taken and certifications gained. This individual must also work closely with faculty to ensure the appropriateness of credit granted, and with student affairs staff, to ensure all questions regarding the transfer of credit are resolved. In addition, the evaluator will be responsible for staying current with constantly evolving corporate partnerships and articulation updates, including daily articulation decisions that aim to expand transferability for students. The position also involves daily processing and scanning of incoming transcripts and other various documents.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Validates outside institution's accreditation status
  • Evaluates course work from outside institutions
  • Customer service: Respond to e-mails from both internal and external customers
  • Cross trains on own responsibilities as well as other duties within the department
  • Work with faculty, admissions and advising staff, and partnership representatives to determine proper transfer of outside course work
  • Evaluate Prior Learning Credit (PLC)
  • Update institutional databases regularly
  • Document scanning (including E-transcripts)
  • Resolving Service Desk tickets
  • Evaluating international transcripts

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications


  • Associate's Degree with Bachelor's Degree highly preferred

Additional Notes
