Cal State East Bay is seeking a dedicated Admissions Counselor to process and evaluate freshman, transfer, and graduate applications. You will focus on domestic U.S.
residents, coordinate eligibility determinations, and communicate admission requirements to diverse audiences. Under supervision of senior staff, you will advise applicants on policies, guide them through the process, and collaborate with campus offices to recruit and enroll students.
Salary Range: $5,083.00 per month to $7,228.00 per month. PLEASENOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualificationsand experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,083.00per month to $6,156.00 per month.

The Office of Admission processes and evaluates applications at thefreshman, transfer, and graduate student levels focusing primarilyon domestic U.S. residents. The office provides some support forthe processing of International applications. The Office worksclosely with Cal State East Bay staff, faculty, and members of thecommunity-at-large. Admission staff process applications andrelated documents, determine residency, render admission decisions,and proactively communicate with students in an accurate, timelyand efficient manner.
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director ofAdmission and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, theAdmission Counselor positions coordinate the processing,evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups.Counselors must follow a wide and complex range of relevantpolicies when making final admissions decisions. The positions arealso responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policiesand procedures to various audiences including prospectivestudents/applicants, high school/community college counselors,faculty and staff. Working with other East Bay offices, counselorsalso participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospectivestudents as well as supporting the transition of admittedapplicants to enrolled students.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including LiveScan,as appropriate), that may include, but is not limited to: criminalrecords check, verification of academic credentials, licenses,certificates, credit history, professional references and/orverification of work history is required for employment. Cal StateEast Bay will issue a conditional offer of employment to theselected candidate, which may be rescinded if the background checkreveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that thecandidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.Unsatisfactory results may also affect the continued employment ofcurrent Cal State East Bay employees who were conditionally offeredthe position.
All background checks are conducted through the university's thirdparty vendor, Accurate. LiveScan is conducted through theUniversity Police Department.
