Cal State East Bay is seeking a Student Admissions professional to process applications for freshmen, transfer and graduate levels. The role focuses on residency determinations, information provision, and collaboration with CSUEB staff and external partners.
The incumbent will review applications, assess admission criteria, and provide guidance to applicants while adhering to CSU policies and campus guidelines. A strong knowledge of CSU admissions procedures is essential.
Salary Range: $4,482.00 per month to $6,342.00 per month. PLEASENOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualificationsand experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $4,482.00per month to $5,412.00 per month.

The Office of Admissions processes and evaluates applications at the freshman, transfer, and graduate student levels focusingprimarily on domestic U.S. residents. The office provides somesupport for the processing of international applications. The Office works closely with CSUEB staff, faculty, and members of the community-at-large. Admissions staff process applications andrelated documents, determine residency, render admission decisions,and proactively communicate with students in an accurate, timelyand efficient manner.
The position performs professional admissions processing andapplicant support activities in accordance with established CSU andcampus policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsibilitiesinclude reviewing applications and supporting documentation,evaluating routine applications against established admissioncriteria, reviewing residency documentation, providing informationand guidance to applicants, and assisting with transfer-creditreview. The incumbent independently handles routine assignmentswithin established procedures and refers complex, unusual,exception, or policy-interpretation matters to designatedhigher-level staff or management.
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including LiveScan,as appropriate), that may include, but is not limited to: criminalrecords check, verification of academic credentials, licenses,certificates, credit history, professional references and/orverification of work history is required for employment. Cal StateEast Bay will issue a conditional offer of employment to theselected candidate, which may be rescinded if the background checkreveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that thecandidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.Unsatisfactory results may also affect the continued employment ofcurrent Cal State East Bay employees who were conditionally offeredthe position.
