Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a transcriptionist to join the laboratory team. You will listen to recordings, transcribe them to text, and maintain high accuracy across patient documents.

You will format reports per client requirements, review grammar and spelling, and ensure timely submission. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k matching, life insurance, EAP, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately; proofreading focus.
• Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system.
• Previous transcription experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary

Transcriptionists are an integral part of the laboratory team and provide support in patient testing. Team members are responsible for ensuring that patient identification on both specimens and medical documentation are correct and accurate. They also provide resolution for pre-analytic specimen related issues.

Job Responsibilities

Physical Demands
