Job summary

Expeditors, a global logistics company, is hiring for a role in Washington. The position focuses on ensuring smooth freight process flow, accurate data entry, and timely billing while delivering high service levels to customers and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.

Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Hazardous Materials certification is preferred. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable.
• Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards.
• Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Meet compliance at all times?
• Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy.
• Understand customers procedures and maintain updated internal DLSOPs.

Additional Information

Expected Salary: $25-$28/hour
