Job summary

HIA Legal in New York seeks a junior to senior Transactional Tax Associate with 2+ years of law-firm tax experience to join a market-leading practice advising on tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

The role focuses on M&A and private equity deals, tax structuring, drafting and negotiating tax provisions, and collaborating with deal teams to deliver sophisticated tax solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of transactional tax experience in a leading law firm or Big Four environment.
• Strong exposure to M&A and/or private equity transactions.
• Experience advising on tax aspects of complex corporate transactions; tax structuring and planning.
• Experience drafting and negotiating tax provisions in transaction documents.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Assist in structuring and planning tax aspects of deals, including M&A and private equity.
• Draft and negotiate tax provisions in deal documents and closing documents.
• Collaborate with deal teams to deliver sophisticated tax solutions.
