Summary of Role:

The Transactional Services Technician (TS Technician) is a key member of the Transactional Services Team (TST), reporting to the Project Solutions Manager. The TS Technician supports transactional projects on NSPS and third-party operated sites, performing work directly assigned by the Project Solutions Manager. The TS Technician will also provide flexible labor support to Area Managers at various locations to assist with daily operations.

This role follows a 4-day, 10-hour workweek schedule, with travel requirements of up to 80% to sites across the U.S. Travel assignments may follow an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform repair tasks including corrective and preventative maintenance associated with trackers, inverters, transformers, solar panels, balance of system components, fencing, and other systems associated with PV Solar and BESS plants.
  2. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical system issues to maintain optimal plant performance.
  3. Complete and close out work orders in a timely manner.
  4. Accurately track labor hours and submit expense reports.
  5. Follow all safety protocols, LOTO procedures, and company policies while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Ability to use tools to perform work.
  2. Familiarity with using computer and software packages.
  3. Open to learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities as required.
  4. Work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education & Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 2 years experience with working in outside environments and tools - including but not limited to solar equipment (inverters, modules), battery, landscaping, construction, or other electrical or mechanical work.

Physical Requirements:

Bending, kneeling, twisting, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, the ability to climb ladders, and wear PPE for extended periods of time. Ability to work in high and low temperatures, sun exposure, and navigate on uneven ground on foot.
