Job Details

We are currently on the hunt for a seasoned Transactional Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide array of energy-related transactions. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with our clients, providing legal advice and guidance on complex energy transactions. This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in energy law and a passion for the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of energy-related agreements, including purchase agreements, sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and farmout agreements.
  • Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of energy transactions, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborating closely with other members of the legal team to ensure that all transactions are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support decision-making and strategy development.
  • Staying current with developments in energy law and advising clients on potential impacts and opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a transactional attorney, with a strong focus in oil and gas law.
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating energy-related agreements, including purchase agreements, sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and farmout agreements.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • A deep understanding of the energy industry, including trends, challenges, and regulatory environment.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and upholding the integrity of the legal profession.
