Citi in Getzville, New York is seeking an entry-level Transaction Services Representative to provide analytic and administrative support to traders and the Transaction Capture team. The role focuses on maintaining position records, supporting settlement, and enhancing processes within risk and control frameworks.

The position requires 2–4 years in a related role, strong communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with bank systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytic and administrative support to traders and the Transaction Capture team.
• Open and amend Letters of Credit, process payments and resolve issues.
• Support trade capture management, reconciliation, risk identification and settlements forecasting.
• Operate trade capture and settlement systems under supervision.
• Perform pre-settlement analyses, prepare reports, and resolve escalated issues.
• Analyze data to identify process improvements and potential new products or services.
• Monitor errors to minimize risk and ensure audit and control compliance.
• Identify policy gaps and suggest streamlining opportunities.
• Escalate inquiries, issues, or errors promptly and appropriately.

Job description

The Transaction Svs Rep 5 is an entry level position responsible for providing analytic and administrative support to traders, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team.The overall objective of this role is to maintain position records and provide support with processes surrounding securities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Treasury and Trade services, Securities, Cash, Trade, Lockbox, Derivatives, Fund Services, Foreign Exchange, etc.
• Open and amend Letters of Credit (L/Cs), process payments and solve customer issues to ensure efficient daily operations
• Support trade capture management, Front to Back reconciliation, identifying operational risk, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts
• Provide support within established trade capture and settlement systems and procedures, under general supervision
• Conduct pre-settlement tasks, including analyses and report preparation, and resolve escalated issues that require research
• Interpret data and utilize data analysis tools to identify process improvements and/or launch new products/services and technologies
• Minimize risk by understanding and monitoring errors and suggesting solutions, and ensuring adherence to audit and control policies
• Identify policy gaps and make recommendations to support the streamlining of related work processes
• Escalate all requests / inquiries / issues / errors in a timely manner
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
