Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques.
  • Create and develop training scenarios and update comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure systems training mirrors production tools used daily.
  • Work with business partners and SMEs to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements and competencies.
  • Teach instructional programs and organize materials for presentation.
  • Develop assessments to measure curriculum effectiveness and learner performance.
  • Review and modify curriculums and suggest policy/procedural changes.
  • Maintain/update training resources and environment to align with excellence.
  • Adhere to safety standards and support organizational goals.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and group training; coordinate onboarding and scheduling.
  • Identify training needs with leaders and SMEs; support learner success and progress tracking.
  • Evaluate learner performance and training effectiveness; report to leadership.

Maximus is seeking a Training Specialist to join our team in Topeka, Kansas.

In this role, you will help prepare employees for success by delivering engaging training, supporting new-hire onboarding, and ensuring team members have the knowledge and skills needed to meet program and client expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and develop training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques.
  • Create and develop training scenarios and update comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure that systems training mimics the production environment systems tools used by employees on a daily basis.
  • Work extensively with business partners and SMEs to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables that meet learner and stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards.
  • Teach instructional programs in accordance with training or other course requirements and organize materials to be presented.
  • Develop assessments to measure and assess effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrate results into new and existing course curriculum.
  • Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculums and recommend changes to policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Develop and create training resources and maintain/update systems training environment and library of training resources to align with operational excellence.
  • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
  • Contribute to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
  • Communicate on complex or sensitive issues or draft responses for supervisor or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and group training for new and existing employees.
  • Deliver training in alignment with client requirements, program standards, and established course objectives.
  • Support onboarding, training coordination, scheduling, and completion tracking.
  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and support learner success.
  • Evaluate learner performance and training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide training-related reports to leadership.
  • Ensure training activities follow company policies, client requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Communicate training updates, learner progress, and concerns to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support training-related projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must reside in Topeka, Kansas, or be willing and able to work onsite in Topeka, Kansas.

Home Office Requirements
