T1 Energy is hiring a Training and Development Specialist at our Wilmer, Texas facility. You will oversee the training lifecycle, coordinate bilingual sessions, and ensure safety and ISO-aligned competencies across the manufacturing workforce.

Responsibilities include maintaining audit-ready records, collaborating with HR, EHS, and production ops, and driving continuous learning through LMS modules. Night shift (6:00 PM - 2:30 AM) availability is required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a training or supervisory role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting group instruction (10+ participants).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with industrial LMS.
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and OSHA standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the employee training process, including orientation, technical onboarding, and annual certifications.
  • Facilitate training sessions in English and Spanish for multiple departments, ensuring clear communication of technical procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain the Training Matrix with audit-ready records compliant with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to perform competency assessments on the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist in developing and updating training manuals, visuals, and digital learning modules to reflect process changes.
  • Manage LMS implementation, track completion rates, and identify skill gaps by shift.

Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. The Role

The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the systematic administration, coordination, and execution of all workforce training programs at the Wilmer manufacturing facility. This role serves as the primary liaison between Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Production Operations to ensure that all personnel are technically proficient, safety-compliant, and aligned with ISO quality standards.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the employee training process, including initial orientation, specialized technical on-boarding, and recurring annual certifications.
  • Facilitate training sessions in both English and Spanish, for any requested trainings from any departments, ensuring that complex technical procedures and safety protocols are communicated clearly to a diverse workforce.
  • Maintain the facility’s Training Matrix with a high degree of accuracy. Ensure all training records are audit-ready and compliant with corporate policies and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to perform hands-on competency assessments on the manufacturing floor, verifying that operators can safely and effectively execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the development and updating of training manuals, visual aids, and digital learning modules to reflect current engineering changes and process improvements.
  • Manage the local implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS), tracking completion rates and identifying skill gaps within specific production shifts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a training or supervisory role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience conducting group instruction, with a requirement of having taught classes of 10 or more students/employees simultaneously.
  • Professional-level fluency in English and Spanish is required (both verbal and written).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with industrial Learning Management Systems.
  • Foundational understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodologies, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to present information to large groups and interface professionally with executive leadership and floor-level operators alike.
  • Must be available to work 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM.
