Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to two years of full-time professional work in one or a combination of: academic teaching; educational administration; development of instructional materials for academic programs; or training.
  • Substitution of Education for Experience: Graduate coursework may substitute for experience (36 graduate hours = 1 year) in specified fields.
  • Substitution for Specialized Experience: Four years of full-time work in related instruction may substitute for two years of specialized experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates agency-specific training using various delivery methods and evaluates training effectiveness.
  • Coordinates events like conferences, seminars, and workshops and handles logistics.
  • Ensures compliance by preparing materials, setting up locations, and managing equipment for training events.
  • Enters data into tracking software and researches learning opportunities for staff development.
  • Provides management with information for problem-solving and efficiency; may recommend training vendors.
  • Builds professional relationships with internal and external customers to boost productivity.
  • Participates in employee evaluation processes and guides staff to meet standards.
