Job Summary

Big things are happening at WebstaurantStore! Our brand-new, high-tech, 1.2 million sq. ft. automated distribution center in Hagerstown, Maryland, is searching for enthusiastic Training Specialists to help us build an unstoppable team.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with your manager to deliver hands-on, technical training that helps our warehouse team sharpen their skills. From onboarding new hires to reinforcing best practices across departments and shifts, you’ll ensure training remains consistent, engaging, and effective.

You’ll be a key player in boosting productivity, improving accuracy, and building confidence across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality technical/hard skill training to newly hired employees as part of a robust onboarding program within the distribution center.
  • Administer ongoing technical training to all applicable employees during new process rollouts, system changes or after the identification of knowledge/experience gaps.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team leads and employees across departments and shifts to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support high performance standards using coaching, training, and development strategies that drive operational best practices across departments
  • Maintain a high level of operating knowledge and positive employee relations
  • Provide professional and constructive feedback to employees throughout the training process, based on company standards and expectations
  • Serve as a resource for all employees regarding job tasks, company policies and procedures and warehouse initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Training & Development on best practices for effective training strategies
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Experience
  • Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
Education
