Your Impact

The Training Manager for Drones and Tactical Robotics acts as the subject matter expert and training resource for Axon’s tactical robotics products, including drones, ground robots, and related accessories developed by Sky-Hero. He or she engages in both pre- and post-sale activities including product demonstrations, test and evaluations, and on-site consulting. The Training Manager will be responsible for directly training domestic and international law enforcement customers on Axon’s tactical products, other Axon personnel, and ultimately growing the training discipline for this line of products.

Location: Remotely from the United States or Europe with up to 75% travel
Reports to: VP, Training & Tactical Ecosystems

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver in-person post-sale training to law enforcement customers around the world
  • Represent the company and its product at conferences and end user demonstrations
  • Engage with public safety technology decision makers (SWAT & special forces team members, program managers, IT staff, and others) pre- and post-sale
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer training needs for tactical robotics products
  • Deliver in-person training for other Axon personnel to scale the organization’s understanding of and ability to support our tactical robotics products
  • Work closely with product and support teams to update and improve training curriculum
  • Collect end-user feedback, structure it and maintain records, and delivery regular updates to R&D for product improvements
What You Bring
  • Proficient in training and professional services with a technical or weapons-related customer base, with a minimum of 5-years professional experience
  • Strong operational experience serving on or supporting SWAT or special operations, with proficiency in drone operations & use in military or law enforcement applications
  • Understanding of software and/or hardware, testing and implementation
  • Understanding and conversant about company, solutions and products’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • Experience with IT hardware, SAAS sales or support
  • Experience with project management and resource tracking
  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Drone equipment and programs, Digital Video, Body Worn Cameras, Conductive Energy Weapons, Mobile communications, SAAS
  • Willing to travel weekly throughout North America and some international travel
  • Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume leadership role within the team
  • Ability to work remotely effectively and add value as a team member. Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Ability to teach other members of the team and act as a mentor as required
  • Willingness to take ownership of accounts and account related actions
  • Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams
  • Ability to perform tasks with little or no supervision
  • Demonstrate ability to implement, drive, track and report projects
  • English proficiency required, Spanish is a plus
  • BS/BA/MS in Unmanned Systems or related fields is a plus
