THE BEASLEY GROUP in Hazlehurst, GA is seeking a Training & Safety Coordinator to lead safety programs, manage certifications, and ensure OSHA compliance. You will develop and maintain certification programs and SOPs, promoting safe operation of equipment within a busy facility.

This role requires strong Microsoft Office skills and bilingual English/Spanish communication. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred. Prior safety-management experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience managing safety programs including LOTO procedures and OSHA record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Lock Out Tag Out program to ensure equipment is safely shut down and maintained.
  • Keep detailed OSHA records to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct forklift training and certifications to ensure safe operation of machinery.
  • Develop and maintain certification programs according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Utilize SOP development to create clear and effective procedures.
  • Use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create reports and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish to reach diverse employees and ensure safety protocols.

You’ll be the go-to person for all things safety and training, helping our team stay on top of their game and follow the rules. You’ll be the one who makes sure everyone knows how to use equipment safely and keeps track of certifications and training programs. Your role is super important because it helps keep everyone safe and ensures our company runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Lock Out Tag Out program to ensure equipment is safely shut down and maintained.
  • Keep detailed OSHA records to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct forklift training and certifications to ensure safe operation of machinery.
  • Develop and maintain certification programs according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Utilize your knowledge of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) development to create clear and effective procedures.

Qualifications Required
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Required Experience
  • Experience managing safety programs, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Familiarity with OSHA record-keeping and compliance.
  • Experience conducting forklift training and certifications.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement certification programs in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
