Job summary

Baker Hughes in Texas is seeking a Training Rig Specialist I to operate the training department drilling rigs and partner with team leads to keep equipment maintained and ready for instruction. You will change tools on the rig floor, run tests, and handle special projects as needed.

To qualify, you should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of drilling equipment experience, knowledge of safety policies, forklift certification, and the ability to lift heavy tools and work outdoors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of drilling equipment experience.
  • Knowledge of safety policies for rig environments.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of drilling equipment, products and processes.
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and work outside in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Change out tools on the rig floor and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Run tests on drilling equipment and collect data.
  • Handle special projects as required.
