The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years of team leadership experience and a strong understanding of ramp and passenger services operations. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand policies, procedures, and regulations; train employees to standard.
  • Ensure site compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • When covering for an operations supervisor, direct a shift and ensure product movements and quality checks are completed safely.
  • Respond to emergencies and minimize risk to personnel and assets.
  • Audit inspections and cyclic tasks; implement follow-up actions.
  • Develop training plans to expand team knowledge and capabilities.
  • Lead internal, airline, and regulatory audits as a primary supervisor.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training; manage performance and discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand applicable policies, procedures, and regulations and work with management to ensure that all employees are trained to standard
  • Work with the General Manager to understand and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations to ensure the site is in compliance.
  • When covering for an operations Supervisor direct a shift and contributes individually to ensure all product movements, inspections, and quality checks are completed safely.
  • Be prepared to react to emergencies by understanding the correct actions to take that minimize the impact to personnel, assets, and the environment.
  • Analyze and explain all aspects of product movements pertaining to sound inventory management.
  • Foster a positive culture of highly engaged individuals united towards growing knowledge and operational excellence.
  • Perform audits on inspections and cyclic tasks to ensure compliance. Implement additional items as follow up audits.
  • Develop sound training plans that meet all standard requirements and grow the depth and breadth of knowledge of the team.
  • Develop and apply a functional understanding of systems and assets to ensure that the operation is running correctly.
  • Be a primary leader for internal, airline, and regulatory agency audits.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problem.
  • Adheres to local, State, and Federal safety policies, and company rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, or five years related experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience leading team of 2-5 employees
  • 1-3 years' experience developing procedures, coaching and ensuring compliance
  • Sound understanding of Ramp & Passenger Services Operations.
  • Must be able to comply with local airport, FAA and/or U.S. Customs safety, security, and identification requirements and pass a thorough security background check

This role is a mixture of field and office work. The primary shift will be normal business hours with some requirement for working outside normal business hours. The employee will be exposed to outdoor environments, aviation-related fumes and various noise levels.
