As a member of the Human Resources Department, the Training Manager plays a critical role in supporting our employee development and organizational training initiatives. The Training Manager is responsible for identifying workforce training needs, implementing engaging learning programs, coordinating onboarding activities, and promoting employee growth across our production operations.

This position works onsite 5 days a week, at our location just outside of Monroe, Wisconsin.

Description:

The Training Manager will be responsible for assessing and identifying the training needs within the company production departments, developing training plans, and implementing various training methods and programs to enhance employee skills and performance. The Training Manager will be involved in developing, maintaining, and coordinating new hire and current employee department training practices and materials. The Training Manager will work closely with many cross-functional departments to assist in the onboarding of new employees, assist supervisors with hands-on training, and further identify training needs.

• Evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs and continuously improves content, delivery methods, and learning experiences to increase employee engagement, knowledge retention, skill development, and overall workforce performance.
• Collaborates with department leaders to design, develop, and maintain training materials and learning resources for New Hire Orientation, Safety Training, Food Safety, Leadership Development, Standard Operating Procedures, and other critical organizational initiatives.
• Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
• Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
• Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
• Drives employee development initiatives by identifying growth opportunities, recommending learning pathways, and supporting succession planning and leadership development efforts.
• Partners with supervisors and department managers to assess training effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve employee performance, productivity, and engagement.
• Conducts or facilitates the delivery of required and recommended training sessions.
• Delivers high-quality, consistent training experiences that support employee retention, professional development, and long-term organizational success.
• Tracks, analyzes, and reports training metrics, employee skill progression, and program effectiveness to support data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
• Provides training status updates as needed to management and company leaders.
• Assists with the onboarding and orientation of new employees, and related personnel record management.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge of production processes and job functions to effectively support training and employee development needs.
• Responds promptly and professionally to employee training questions and support needs while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
• Supports cross-functional initiatives and special projects that contribute to operational efficiency, employee development, and organizational goals.
• Will complete additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Qualifications & Additional Information:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development or a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in employee training, learning and development, workforce development, or a related field, preferably within a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate direction effectively to others. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• High degree of initiative with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in HRIS management systems (Paycom preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing duties with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Team-player, able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
• This position requires a combination of office and production-floor work. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to operate office equipment. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs. Frequent movement throughout the facility is required to conduct training, observe work processes, and support employee development. The employee must be able to work safely in a food manufacturing environment and comply with all required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hair/beard net and/or gloves when required.
