- Collaborate with Operations, Curriculum, and Sales to identify role-specific skill gaps and address them through targeted training.
- Ensure training materials align with BAM!'s values of safety, inclusion, engagement, and growth.
- Incorporate knowledge of youth development and evidence-based instructional practices into all content.
- Utilize AI to generate meaningful, informative content, including training scripts, videos, and podcast-style content.
- Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate engaging live virtual and in-person training sessions for new and returning staff.
- Implement and support a "train-the-trainer" model to scale training delivery and empower internal leaders.
- Support regional teams in customizing training delivery while maintaining consistent standards.
- Develop role-based certification and tracking systems to monitor staff readiness and training completion.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Create tools to assess training effectiveness through surveys, quizzes, observation rubrics, and feedback loops.
- Collect and analyze training data to refine instructional approaches and improve onboarding and retention.
- Align training initiatives with state and local quality standards (e.g., ELO-P in California) as part of strategic compliance.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with Curriculum Developers to align training with content-specific teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Directors to gather field data and continuously close performance gaps.
- Work with hiring teams to align onboarding and evaluation with the BAM Program Staff Hiring Rubric.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
- 4+ years in staff development, instructional design, or training within K-12 education, camps, or youth programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, youth development, and behavioral support.
- Experience creating inclusive and culturally responsive training content.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and coaching techniques.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, LMS platforms (e.g., TalentLMS, Moodle).
- Passion & excitement for utilizing AI to generate content (training videos, scripts, podcast style audio, etc.)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Passion for inspiring educators and nurturing youth through joyful learning.
