Job summary

Advent is seeking a Training Coordinator to support healthcare and emergency medical education at Wright Patterson AFB (OH). You will develop, update and deliver clinical training materials and coordinate scheduling, delivery and administration of programs in alignment with Air Force standards.

The role requires an unrestricted RN license or paramedic substitution, BLS/ALS certs, and a nursing degree with 3+ years in healthcare.

Qualifications

  • RN license (unrestricted) with possible Paramedic substitution.
  • BLS and ALS certifications are required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with >=3 years in nursing or healthcare.
  • Strong organizational and independent work capability with multi-tasking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of ER patient management and trauma care.
  • Experience in healthcare training environments.
  • Ability to design and deliver instructor-led and virtual training.
  • Familiarity with USAF standards; complete orientation within 60 days.
  • Must provide NDA prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support healthcare and emergency medical education programs across USAFSAM and the 711th Wing.
  • Develop, update and deliver clinical and emergency medical training materials.
  • Schedule, deliver and administer training programs in compliance with Air Force standards.
  • Analyze training performance, student outcomes, and program effectiveness; prepare leadership reports.
  • Manage continuing nursing and medical education credits and CM RP program support.
  • Coordinate curriculum development and collaborate with clinical consultants and leadership.
  • Collect, analyze and report training data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as SME in meetings with USAFSAM, DoD, and healthcare stakeholders to improve training.
  • Ensure training meets academic, readiness, deployment, and mission requirements.
  • Create reports and presentations using Word, Excel and PowerPoint; support start-up and monitoring activities.

Location:

Wright Patterson AFB, OH (On-site)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 0730-1630. Occasional travel may be required in support of meetings, conferences, and mission requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. A nationally registered Paramedic may be substituted.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of emergency room patient management and trauma healthcare principles.
  • Experience working in an educational environment, preferably within healthcare or medical training.
  • Ability to design and deliver instructor-led and virtual training programs.
  • Knowledge of applicable Air Force standards, military and civilian policies, and procedures, with successful completion of USAFSAM and department orientation within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to provide a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the start of performance.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous instructional experience (e.g., Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or similar).
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, Genius, or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense training and educational policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support healthcare and emergency medical education and training programs across USAFSAM and the 711th Human Performance Wing.
  • Develop, update, and deliver clinical and emergency medical training materials based on current best practices in nursing, trauma care, and first responder protocols.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and administration of healthcare training programs while ensuring compliance with USAFSAM and Department of the Air Force standards.
  • Analyze training performance metrics, student outcomes, and program effectiveness, and prepare reports with recommendations for leadership.
  • Manage continuing nursing and medical education credits and support the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP) through program monitoring and policy support.
  • Coordinate curriculum development, identify resource requirements, and collaborate with clinical consultants, Career Field Managers, and leadership to improve educational programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report training data to identify program gaps, barriers, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during meetings with USAFSAM, Department of the Air Force, and healthcare stakeholders, providing recommendations to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Ensure training programs meet academic standards, medical readiness requirements, deployment objectives, and operational mission needs.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and other program documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint while supporting ongoing program startup, monitoring, and reporting activities.
