Job description

AREA OF FOCUS:

The T/TA Coordinator assists coalitions in strengthening their organizational capacity and sustainability strategies through training and technical assistance delivery on nonprofit governance, programmatic and financial grant compliance, strategic planning, needs assessments, data collection, and other T/TA topics as may be identified. The T/TA Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for T/TA requests and is responsible for the coordination and delivery of training and technical assistance of the ATCEV.

This position involves travel within the contiguous U.S., and may include travel to Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. Territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The tasks performed by the T/TA Coordinator may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Recruit, receive and assign technical assistance requests.

  • Coordinate T/TA communications with ATCEV staff, T/TA partners, and grant funders.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of T/TA materials, brochures, tips sheets, flyers, newsletters, and T/TA materials.
  • Collect and compile project data and documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics of onsite and web-based T/TA activities including but not limited to meetings, trainings, workshops, conferences, roundtables, etc.
  • Work with coalitions, Tribes, tribal programs, and state administering agencies and allied organizations to identify T/TA needs and coordinate training logistics.
  • Work with ATCEV staff, partners, funders, and contractors as needed to identify/develop best practices and model policies.
  • Participate in staff and project meetings to review goals, objectives, and activities and review benchmarks, barriers, and challenges; and
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of all trainings and technical assistance performed.
  • Prepare semi-annual programmatic reports and assist with financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and timely submit all required forms, reports, and other documentation as may be identified or required by ATCEV or our funders.
  • All other activities and tasks as assigned for the good of the project and organization.
OTHER:
  • This job description is intended to outline areas of responsibility and authority of the T/TA Coordinator.
  • It is not a complete list of tasks that are included in the position. The T/TA Coordinator must be willing to work as part of the ATCEV team, and in collaborative with our partners, to achieve mutual goals.
  • Candidates must have a willingness to embrace the mission and goals of ATCEV and our commitment to work towards ending domestic and sexual violence. The T/TA Coordinator is encouraged to use their experience and creativity to effectively implement the goals, objectives, and activities of the project.
  • This is a grant funded position contingent upon the renewal of grant funds and continuation of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.A. or B.S. in related field and 3 years relevant work experience (equivalencies will be considered);
  • Thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence and the work of nonprofit organizations to violence;
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering training and technical assistance;
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently with little supervision;
  • Preferred experience in working with Tribal communities, nonprofit organizations, and domestic violence, sexual assault, dual, and/or tribal coalitions;
  • Competency in basic office operations, recordkeeping, and computer skills;
  • Possess and maintain valid driver’s license, and be willing to independently travel within the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. Territories as may be required;
  • Willing to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; and
  • Willing to submit to and successfully pass certain background checks as may be required.
