Summary Statement

The scope of work primarily includes facilitation of New Employee Training to prepare Nursing staff to work in the clinical/direct care setting; development of new curriculum based on department/division needs and modification of existing curricula to stay current with educational trends; clinical review with the use of evidence-based research; planning and coordinating clinical competency renewal program for Nursing staff; and creating lesson plans, materials, and visual aids to present training instructions and to meet the training needs of Nursing staff.

Selective Requirement

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.

Essential Functions

1. Plans, coordinates, and delivers a variety of training and/or education courses, services, and activities.
2. Organizes and prepares materials and equipment for training sessions.
3. Researches and selects or recommends methods of delivery and materials to promote learning.
4. Coaches others and provides feedback that fosters learning.
5. Collects and analyzes data to evaluate quality and effectiveness.
6. Makes recommendations for improvements based on findings.
7. Provides technical guidance on training and education matters.
8. Prepares and maintains records and reports related to training.
9. Completes continuing education to remain current in the field.
10. May maintain content on social media and create instructional materials.
11. May operate and maintain training facilities.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in the following areas:

1. Two years’ experience in delivering training or education courses.
2. One year of experience in preparing and maintaining training records.
3. One year of experience in researching and designing courses and curricula.
4. One year of experience in creating methods to analyze training effectiveness.

Conditions of Hire
