Job summary

F.A. Wilhelm Construction in Indianapolis is seeking a Training and Development Manager to lead operations training, establish standards, and act as the Procore administrator to improve software usage. This role will also coordinate Wilhelm University and convert manuals into online courses using Articulate.

You will oversee training programs, identify gaps, manage certifications (OSHA, DBIA, LEED, PMP, ISA), and collaborate with HR, IT, and field teams to streamline processes and support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in construction operations, process improvement, or business administration.
• Experience with Procore required; familiarity with Articulate, DroneDeploy, or similar construction and training software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement company standards, improve workflows, and promote continuous improvement across departments.
• Serve as the primary Procore administrator, train internal and external users, and meet biweekly with Procore representatives to improve software usage.

Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite. No remote or hybrid options available.

Responsibilities

As an Training and Development Manager, you will work within the Operations Department to identify, plan, and implement improvements that strengthen company standards, streamline processes, and support teams across the organization. This role focuses on operations support, technology administration, employee training, and collaboration between departments to improve efficiency and support the company’s continued growth.

Essential Functions

• Operations Standards & Process Improvement: Develop and implement company standards, improve workflows, and promote continuous improvement across departments.
• Procore Administration: Serve as the primary Procore administrator, set up accounts, train internal and external users, provide customized support to Operations, and meet biweekly with Procore representatives to improve software usage.
• Training & Development: Oversee training programs, identify gaps in resources, and develop training opportunities that support employee growth and company needs.
• Wilhelm University & Learning Resources: Organize and maintain accessible training materials and templates for current and future employees. Use Articulate to turn existing manuals into online courses for Wilhelm University.
• Project & Field Operations Support: Support project teams with project startup and closeout, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, change orders, safety, quality, and insurance processes.
• Certifications & Personnel Records: Track employee certifications, including OSHA, DBIA, LEED, PMP, and ISA, while coordinating personnel lists and updates with HR, Payroll, and IT.
• Technology & IT Coordination: Coordinate Operations technology standards, employee onboarding, hardware and software packages, jobsite setups, and Drone Deploy initiatives.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with department leaders to modernize administrative processes, improve communication, and identify opportunities to increase efficiency across the company.

What it Takes

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in construction operations, process improvement, or business administration.
• Experience with Procore required; familiarity with Articulate, DroneDeploy, or similar construction and training software preferred.
• Strong abilities in process improvement, project management, training, and communication across teams.
